The 8 days of swim week

In the summer of 2012 I struggled with a nerve problem, caused by my piraformis trying to strangle the life out of my poor sciactic nerve. Unfortunately, because I tried to ignore it, the whole issue dragged on for months (April – June, I believe). I recently noticed the niggle again. However, older and wiser, I stopped running, saw my physio – and set about on a ‘swim week’ to let it settle, thanks to coach Blair.

You’ll be pleased to know the pain has gone away (don’t worry, Mum!) – I’ll wait 1 – 2 weeks to run, but I’m pretty confident the reunion with bike tomorrow will go well.

Here’s the last week, to the tune of 12 days of Christmas
