What a fool..

Tues -AM: 30min bike, 3k swim (100,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1, 8x50m, cool-down), PM: 1hr bike
Wed – bike commute, swim: (1.5k,250m,5x100m,250m)
Thur – 1hr40 run/bike (20r,30b,30r,20b) PM 10min run, drills: 4xhigh knees/bum flicks/skips/cross overs, 10min run

I saw the physio last night, and it turns out the problem I assumed was the same as last time – sore ankle caused by achilles tendonitis probably caused by not using my glutes – was not. In fact, the entire right side of my body from lower back down is a lot tighter than my left side, causing me to make the left side work much harder.

We tried to figure out why this would be. Not a problem i’ve ever had before, and started emerging: after buying a turbo and after introducing track training.

Still a conundrum. Until it occured to me it could have a lot to do with the fact my turbo is actually somewhat wonky, due to the fact the floor of the garage is also somewhat wonky. Hopefully -that’s the cause. As annoying as it is, at least it means there is nothing wrong with my biomachanics or my running, more my lack of concern for simple engineering and tendency to be a little careless with myself.

Lots of stretching (my right hand side..), a new place to use the turbo, and fingers crossed i’m sorted.

2 weeks to Brookes 10k.. hm.
